One of my best musical experiences was playing in the band Moby Dick. I joined Moby Dick in the summer of 2007. I had just purchased a new keyboard and had the bug to find a new band. It didn’t take long before I found these guys and began the ride of a lifetime.
Moby Dick is a cover band playing mostly 80s music. We also offered tribute performances to Journey, Poison, Guns n Roses, Bon Jovi and Def Leppard. Moby Dick has played hundreds of shows throughout the Southeast at some of the best venues. We opened up for several national acts including Warrant, Great White, L.A. Guns, The Bullet Boys, and Tito Jackson (Michael Jackson’s brother).
After five and half years I made the difficult decision of leaving Moby Dick. I felt it was time to focus all of my musical effort on my solo work, Rahn. On December 28th, 2012 I played my final show with one of the best groups of musicians around. They are continuing to play now as a four piece and I wish them great success. If you’re ever in Atlanta, be sure to check them out.
UPDATE
After nine months away from the stage I had the urge to rock out again. Dozer asked me to play with the guys for a huge festival. I’ve been playing regularly ever since. Looks like I’m back in the band!
